Love the Tripod- it is extremely lightweight and so easy to set up. As soon as I got the flash, I inserted the batteries and starting taking pictures. I did tests with the Speedllite and with the pop-up flash on my Cannon rebel xti. Definitely a great difference in the close up portraits I took. No Red eye and with the speedlight, the light was a bit brighter. The big difference was when I put a diffuser on the Speedlite. Made the photos look bright but without the bright contrast. I recommend the OMEW Omni Bounce diffuser to put on the flash when taking portraits. Very inexpensive and does the job. I took my camera with new flash to an event where I took over 250 portraits and all came out great with the Speedlite. Did not have to change the batteries at all.
