I wanted a fish eye wide angle lens but didn't want the high price. This lense fit the bill. Pictures very sharp and I get the fish eye effect I was looking for. It is attached to an 18-55mm lense. At the 18mm it does create a round view that shows the lens barrel but it is an interesting effect. Great lens for the price.

Just returned from a trip where I used this case every day. Plusses: small, nice-looking, a little extra protection against falls Minuses: doesn't hold extra SD cards or batteries (got caught out twice), never used lanyard hole--too hard to get to the camera quickly I didn't have the fit problems others mentioned with size. I have bought it for this dealer. It is smaller than I have think. the real size is not same as that list on Amazon website. for me ,It is ok, because I have only one lens canon 24-105/4 Is and Canon 40D, I can keep my gear with the hood in the bag too. I think if you add one more lens such as Canon 70-300/is is ok too. But if you have tree lens and using big gear such as 40 d and 50 d and any similar size camera. this bag is too small. I used this remote to take self portraits, family portraits and pictures of me and my wife on trips when nobody was there to "snap" our photo while standing on the beach. It's small enough to hide in your hand or slip into your pocket before the shutter goes off. There's been a few times I had to press it more than once because of the infrared, but that's expected. I've never been further than 15 feet so I can't tell you the longest range is.

The camera case is great for holding the camera. And the accessories that came with are great. Unfortunately, the space for carrying any accessories with the case appears unsafe or too small. The Canon 430ex Speedlite is great in that it is a match for my Canon Power Shot S5 IS and automatically adjusts for focal length. The Sto-Fen Omni-Bounce Diffuser makes a big difference in the color tone faces. The faces are no longer washed out. The TTL Flash Cord has given me a couple of problems. Sometimes the flash and camera don't sync as indicated by a symbol on back of the flash readout. I have had to play with the connection to get it to work. The flash bracket is nothing special but when folding it out the angle or the flash head changes so it's best to take a couple of test shots. Overall it was a great combo deal with the extra batteries and charger.

Purchased over 18 months ago - the BGE-1 Battery grip has become a permanent fixture on my Digital Rebel. The ability to power the Digital Rebel with a second battery gives me the insurance I need to NEVER look at the power bar at any event I shoot. Things I like about the Battery Grip: 1. Second battery means never having to worry about power. 2. Portrait photography - which I do much of -- becomes less of a chore with secondary shutter controls available in the "portrait" position. 3. Great balance - using the 420EX Speedlight and a series of telephoto lenses - the grip brings better balance and lessens hand fatigue by bringing a lower center of gravity to a long lens shooting assignment. 4. Shooting portraits- using an aluminum "L/U" bracket to put the speedlight higher than just using the "hotshoe" mount - the battery access is blocked when screwing the bracket to the camera tripod mount. The Battery grip enables access to both camera batteries in all situations. 5. "The look for public access": When tricked out with an "L" series telephoto, a battery grip and a BG-15 eyepiece extender - one rarely needs to show credientals while covering all but the most secure public or private events. You are "in the business". Things I'd like to see improved: 1. Plastic battery door feels flimsy. 2. Extra weight and size is not needed for the casual photographer. 3. Use of battery extender grip disallows use of a standard Canon camera case. 4. Would like similar features to its Rebel XT battery grip counterpart- ability to use AA batteries in lieu of a second Canon battery would be great! Four AA Ni-Mh's are cheaper than even the Canon knockoff recharagables.

This grip is fantastic. It gives your digi reb all the bulk that it was missing out of the box. The vertical shutter release are quite useful, in fact, I wish i would have bought my camera with the grip because it is difficult to retrain yourself to use the second set of shutter controls. Also, the camera quickly converts back to gripless in about 15 seconds, because the original battery door has a secure little spot inside of the grip. Also, it makes your camera feel and look a lot more "pro".

Got this accessory kit for my Canon 450D with kit lens and 55-250mm IS lens. The canon 200DG bag is sturdy and highly durable. It has a lot of room for my Canon 450D with kit lens and 4 more lens\external flash. The front pocket can accomodate all my filters and cleaning accessories. The side pocket is where I keep the battery and charger. There is a pocket inside to keep the manuals. The cleaning accessory kit has all your basic needs. The blower is made of quality rubber and glass tube. I use the lint free cleaning tissue to remove fingerprints and lint. The cleaning cloth is also good for cleaning the lens and lcd screen. The screen protector comes with 3 screen protectors, 1 wet and 1 dry tissue for cleaning the screen and a squeegee to flatten the protector into place. The screen protector needs to be cut to the screen size. It is thick enough to protect the screen from scratches. The battery charger charges as fast as the original canon battery charger. The batteries I received were Power 2000. It last quite as long as the original canon battery. In summary, this is a great starter accessory kit at a very cheap price. It has all your basic needs and they are of good quality already.

This is a perfect bag for carrying: - 1 DSLR camera with 70-200mm f/2.8 (i.e. big) zoom lens attached (mine is Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8 which is comparable in size and weight with Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8) - 1-2 additional lenses and/or flash (I put 17-80mm and 50mm f/1.8 lenses and the SB-400 flash - a couple memory cards and extra battery It's pretty sturdy and tight (with the stabilizing strap), but that's good because the camera and lens won't move much inside the bag. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: 1. Can fit SLR attached with the big 70-200mm f/2.8 lens (or equivalent) 2. Enough room for extra lenses and flash 3. Topload feature for easy access 4. Sturdy and good padding to protect the expensive equipment inside 5. Slim profile and more discreet design (vs some other pro camera bag) 6. Stabilizing strap to minimize movement 7. Lots of compartment for memory cards, batteries, lens cap, etc 8. Less than 3 lbs, and compact size 9. All weather cover is nice to have (and essential for professional) 10. Expandable (i.e. you can manage the divider/padding to create different size of space) Cons: 1. Only take 1 full size SLR (I tried 2 D40s + 18-55mm and it works) 2. A bit pricey (for my amateur standard) 3. Close to 3 lbs (depend on how you see it) 4. Not a backpack model (if you prefer carrying backpack type bag when photographing) 5. Love the Tripod- it is extremely lightweight and so easy to set up. As soon as I got the flash, I inserted the batteries and starting taking pictures. I did tests with the Speedllite and with the pop-up flash on my Cannon rebel xti. Definitely a great difference in the close up portraits I took. No Red eye and with the speedlight, the light was a bit brighter. The big difference was when I put a diffuser on the Speedlite. Made the photos look bright but without the bright contrast. I recommend the OMEW Omni Bounce diffuser to put on the flash when taking portraits. Very inexpensive and does the job. I took my camera with new flash to an event where I took over 250 portraits and all came out great with the Speedlite. Did not have to change the batteries at all.

This book is a MUST for any beginner. If you have an SLR/DSLR camera, this book should be the SECOND one you read. Peterson's "Understanding Exposure" should be the FIRST. In "Understanding Exposure" you will learn how to control your camera, what Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO are. This book will teach how to apply that knowledge to photograph difficult subjects. An example: I have a young Kerry Blue Terrier. The dog has an almost black coat. No matter how much I tried to take a good photo of him, I could never take a photo that would perfectly capture his coat's texture and color. I got this book, read it in under 3 hours - and suddenly it just all clicked together: what I was doing wrong, and how to correct it. So I wholeheartedly recommend this book - you will not regret spending your money on it.

I can't say enough about how great this book is. For me, getting the "correct" exposure has been one of the more challenging aspects of photography. With the simplified zone concept presented in this book I now feel much more confident. In the end, the simplified zone concept is quite simple. The author uses several different methods to explain the same material to make sure you "get it". For some, this might seem repetitive, but I think he got it right. An explanation that works for one person might not work for someone else. The end goal is to send the reader away with a new tool for having total control over the exposure of his or her images. The author achieves this brilliantly.

I bought this LCD screen cover for my Nikon S620 camera and couldn't be more satisfied. The glass construction leaves no wrinkles or any other imperfections. It has no filtering affect. Moreover, it attaches in such a way that when I show it everyone says that it looks like part of the camera, as if they were just looking at the LCD itself. If I ever do scratch it I will be replacing a simple cover, not the screen itself. This goes on my essentials list for any product with an LCD screen. I don't think it can be matched and the price is negligible.

Customer Review: Good machine, but clumsy user interface
We've used this machine in our small office for about a year. It functions very well overall, and the duplex features (input and output) are good for a machine at this price point. Unfortunately the interface on the front panel, as well as the user interfaces in some of the supplied software, such as the scanning software, are rather awkward and user-unfriendly. (The printer driver itself is pretty good, though.) The tiny, 2-line alphanumeric display on the control panel is hard to read and not backlit. The key layout is awkward. Changing settings requires paging through multiple layers of poorly organized menus with ambiguous names. I much prefer the control panel on our Xerox Phaser 6180 color printer. It also just has a simple alphanumeric display, but it is backlit, the menus are better organized and named, and there are four arrow keys plus OK and "Back" keys for intuitive navigating. The documentation is also superior. The bottom line is that the Canon appears to have Japanese build quality (i.e., good), but also menus, software, and documentation apparently created by Japanese engineers (not good, at least not if you speak and think in a Western language). One other note: After just less than one year of moderate use, the machine completely stopped printing; all output was blank pieces of paper, both printing and copying. Canon technical support was very good. The printer has a three-year warrantly, and within the first year free on-site repair is available. The day after I called Canon (and immediately got a professional, articulate support rep), a friendly repairman came to our office and replaced the laser shutter. The machine is now working well again...and hopefully will for the rest of its life.
Customer Review: Great Product
This machine is a very solid performer. For a small business, it handles the volume just fine. Easy to install; easy to use. Print quality is great and functionality is intuitive. The included software will even do basic OCR and pdf functions. The cartridges last as long as advertised. I don't know what is in the starter cartridge, but the #106 replacements run around $150 and do at least 5000 pages. In a year of owning this product, I have never had a problem (XP and Vista). No crashes, no error messages, no reinstalls, nothing. And that is what you want when you have a product in your office.

I bought the Giotto's LCD screen protector for my Pentax K10D DSLR after first using a PDA screen protector film. The film ruining the image quality on the screen, smudged easily and in general made my LCD screen virtually useless. I thought the price of the Giotto's screen protector was a bit steep but, decided to give it a go anyways and am I glad I did! The difference it night and day, the screen is brighter and clearer now and better protected than before. If you can live with the price this is a great item to have.

What a great flash for the money for an amateur enthusiast. The bounce feature allows for much more natural skin tones for people, and color tones for objects. Also, faces are less shiny (oily) looking, so as to reduce or eliminate your post photo processing. Next on the list is a flash bracket.

I'm an amateur, as you may read from my other reviews. I purchased this speedlight as something I can use in cases where my built-in flash just isn't enough. I also hate the glare and the harsh shadows built-in flash creates. I wanted something in a decent price range that would perform well. I attended a wedding recently and used this speedlight at the reception. The results were 100 times better than I had expected. The reception was in a converted barn/banquet hall with white walls and high arched ceilings. Some of the reviews said that you can't expect this light to bounce off walls or ceilings more than 10' away, but I found that I was able to bounce the light off the ceilings and the walls and still come out with a very well-lit exposure. I bounced the flash at 45 degrees off the ceiling from 50' feet away and had a very good picture of the cake cutting. Some reviews said that the flash didn't go very far either, so I tried it outside at night. With a direct flash, I was able to illuminate (albeit no well) an object about 80' away. For each of these tests, I had the camera on full-auto mode. The flash adjusts itself according the camera's settings (which I find very convenient). It feels sturdy when its attached and clips in without a problem. Its also very lightweight. The only thing that I can find wrong is this: I have a fisheye attachment for my 18-55mm kit lens that I like to use for macro photos--this flash unit doesn't have enough clearance to use with that attachment. There is a huge barrel shadow in the bottom of each frame, even at the longer end of the zoom. For the money, its a very good little addition to my system. I'm sure that I'll spring for the SB 600 or 800 eventually, but this will be useful for a long time.

Customer Review: Not super, but good given the price
If you want a 500mm lens, you can spend 4 figures on a Canon lens, or you can buy one of these for less than 1/10 the price. Obviously, you're going to get better results from the Canon, and if you want to sell your photos this is going to be useless. It hasn't got any bells or whistles, no autofocus, no image stabilization, so you're going to need a tripod too. I would characterize the results from this lens as 'barely acceptable, sometimes'. But still, if you wanted to take professional style photos, you weren't going to get that from a $90 500mm lens.
Customer Review: Cheap 500 mm lens
I bought this lens when I first bought the camera. I did not know any better. It is a shame that good lens are so expensive, but after a year of using the camera, I think, it is best to wait until you can aford a better lense. I am a beginner at photography, but without a stablizer built into the lens I cannot get a clearly focused photo without a tripod. Also without auto focus it is only good for still shots. JMHO
